BUILDING ON A SOLID FOUNDATION:  Literally from the ground up, ULTRA DESIGN HOMES is committed to quality both aesthetically and structurally. All of our homes will either meet or in most cases surpass all relevant building codes and or construction standards. First and foremost to determine which foundation design would be best for your particular lot, a soil sample test is preformed followed by a soil compaction test. Many contractors will forego this second test and build on the assumption that the property is stable, we simply refuse to take that risk. Based on the soil test results, our foundations are then individually engineered by our licensed structural civil engineer. In addition to our standard warranty and implied state warranty coverage, our foundations also carry a written ten year transferable warranty through the Residential Warranty Corporation (RWC / Home of Texas).

 RWC (Home of Texas) Home Owner Warranty Coverage offered through ULTRA DESIGN HOMES:

Residential Warranty Corporation (RWC) has been servicing Texas and the nation since 1981. ULTRA DESIGN HOMES in association with RWC offers a transferable written extended warranty on all homes we build. However, you will probably never need this warranty service due to Ultra's high standards and the RWC's strict  membership screening and building inspections process. Only those Builders such as ULTRA DESIGN HOMES who meet acceptable standards regarding technical competence, financial stability and ethical business dealings are able to become members with the RWC. In addition, RWC builders are re-screened annually to ensure their performance remains consistent with the high RWC membership standards. If you buy one of our homes having the RWC warranty coverage, you can be certain that we have made an extra effort to provide you with more than just a handshake or verbal commitment.  ULTRA DESIGN HOMES in association with the RWC will be providing a written commitment -- a warranty on your new home lasting up to10 years.

Meet the Owners

Al and Carolyn Manica have combined extensive and diverse experience in the custom home building industry. Mrs. Manica is personally involved with most interior design related decisions and offers a wealth of knowledge to our customers. Her tasteful eye for detail and design is unsurpassed. She is a native Houstonian and holds a University of Houston bachelors degree in interior design.

Mr. Al Manica is a Texas Certified Custom Home Builder, he initially started work in the construction business working for a custom home building company. In addition to custom home building, Mr. Manica is also involved in oil and gas related construction/drafting projects working with such companies as ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips. He is personally involved with most if not all construction and design related issues and offers a wealth of knowledge to his customers. His formal education and diverse building experience has given him an appreciation not only for function, design and aesthetics but for important structural concerns as well. Al is well versed and knowledgeable regarding all facets of the home building process. Mr. Manica holds a bachelors degree from Southeastern Massachusetts University specializing in structural & visual design.

He has also worked with The Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Air Force. Richard has his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
